At Treehouse there is a diverse group of people – those working for the company and those in the spaces. Start-ups from all over the world want to come and be involved, and everyone in Dublin is also working to be integrated into our groundbreaking project. Each company or individual has unique goals and aims, desires and potential achievements.
Talking with all of these people, you can get to know them on a personal level. Let me tell you, they are some of the most interesting people I have ever met. They have depths of knowledge and emotion, they are passionate and driven individuals. However I don’t want to talk about them on their own, but rather their businesses and how they define what their businesses are.
In the movie Batman Begins (I know, I know, I should really stop with the superhero references), Batman say the line “It’s not who we are underneath, but what we do that defines us.” I think that this is true in a lot of ways for many start-ups. It is not about the individual people, but rather about what the company does that defines them. Of course, many individual passion and desires come into play, but really it’s what they specifically aim to do and how they act that makes the company who they are.
That is what we want to see happen more and more, not only that these co-workers will be defined by what they do, but also that Treehouse itself will begin to be defined by the amazing caliber of companies that it has within it, and how we act with them.
